TGIF! Onch Movement for Hello Kitty collection Launch!

We want to congratulate our friend Onch Movement on launching his incredible collection with Sanrio, “Onch Movement for Hello Kitty”! Onch has been constantly creating quirky, adorable, kitschy collections, and this one is no different. He’s also going to have a launch party and trunk show this coming Saturday at JapanLA on Melrose, and we can’t wait to be there!

There’s so many incredible items in the collection but check out my personal favorite- this unbelievably cute necklace!!
(Shout out to Onch for featuring Daniel, Hello Kitty’s bf!)

We hope you guys can make it to Onch’s event. There’s never been a dull moment when he throws his parties, and we wish it was Saturday already!

xoxo Emi

East LA Classic Trophy for Nike

(Photos Courtesy of @axisphotography)

We are so excited to share this amazing project we had the honor of working on! Pretty In Plastic participated in the creation of the trophy for the East Los Angeles Classic with OptimistLA for Nike. For those of you wondering what exactly the Classic is all about (and no, it’s not “just a homecoming game”!)... The Classic is s the homecoming football game for both James A. Garfield High School and Theodore Roosevelt High School, which are among the first high schools to be established in East LA.

This event also happens to be one of the most highly acclaimed and attended high school football games west of the Mississippi, and boasts a history from 1925. The event gathers 25,000+ attendees,  and gathers alumni from all over the world.

Needless to say, we were beyond honored to be able to be a part of this amazing event. Though both teams brought their A-game, in the end the Bulldogs were the ones to take the trophy home. A very big congratulations to Garfield Senior High on their 4th winning streak!

Today, Pretty In Plastic will like to introduce you to our friend...the ridiculously talented sculptor Juan Balandran, aka Red Rooster.

Red Rooster is a Los Angeles based sculptor, who is known for his bronze sculptures inspired by German Expressionism and Film Noir. He is currently working on designing a sculpture of Alvaro Martin for the Fallas Festival, which is held in Valencia, Spain, every March (You can learn more about this event in his video). Red Rooster plans to travel to Valencia for 3 months to work on his project, and he needs your support!

Rooster is offering various incentives for the campaign, such as original artwork (some of it exclusive to the campaign!) and personal classes!

You can learn more about Red Rooster’s campaign and contribute on his indiegogo page.

We hope you can help our friend make his dreams come true! <3
