I am sure you all know about Art Basel Miami Beach took place this past weekend from December 5th - 8th. With over 250 galleries, 50,000 visitors, and amazing weather - it's no wonder why this event has become the premier destination for art lovers. Instagram was flooded with pics of artwork, installations, and parties.

We're incredibly pleased to show off the custom lightbox installation that we created as part of "For Your Consideration", a collaborative exhibit and project between Gallery1988 and the Academy Awards! Their first collaborative exhibition featuring art inspired by the 2012 Best Picture Oscar® nominees, on display February 14 through 17 at Gallery1988 Melrose in Los Angeles.
"created to represent the CMYK color model (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black) used in offset printing for full-color documents (like the screenprints, silly). All 4 sides of the box light up to represent each color. Pretty amazing stuff."
It's been making the rounds and we're truly flattered to have gotten so much love for this piece. It's been posted and mentioned and even landed on the official Tumblr for The Academy!
The piece will be lit up all week in the window of 7021 Melrose, so drive on by and check out our 7+ foot tall tribute to the Oscars.
